@Thunderror Thanks for registering on my blog. I don't want to force people to register, the reading is something you can do without registering. I would like a more open comment system too. But in the recent past, my online life was sabotaged by some who found it funny enough to stalk me through my websites. That's one big reason I no longer accept open comments here. That period was quite literally a hell for me and I don't wish to go through that again. I could set it to approving first, so that anyone can comment, but they have to get approval. Though this would mean a lot more work for me in the end and people don't always like that either. I am thinking about adding openID to the login options. That way people can use their openID login and won't have to go through as much trouble. Then again, I have mixed feelings about this issue in general, it's not that much of a hassle to sign up. I still think it's a huge compliment you decided to register anyway. So thank again for that!

About DeviantArt, I've been feeling like most people there just do not notice my work, whether it's photography, website templates or layouts, or other things like pixel art and vector art. It's true that people usually leave one comment, maybe two if you leave many comments on their work. And I sort of have accepted that. But it also means I know I can do without that website. I won't stop using it entirely. However I will no longer rely on those online services, in which most people don't even see my work. There's an even chance of me getting comments on my own sites - if people would find an easy way to login or comment at least. My site is a showcase for my work. So if people decide to go here, they will see my work. On dA people are not necessarily visiting for my work and the chances are smaller that someone will leave a comment.

@ChEeTaH Thank you :))

I'll leave you a comment! I'm not on dA, so here goes: LOVE THOSE PICS OF SETH! From the tip of his nose to the ducky in the corner, it's all a job _very_ well done. You're the best!

First thing. That's a sweet post and a nice blog you have here. I am drowning in neck deep work and I come and register on your blog just to comment. I felt bad that you did not like what happened at deviantart and other photo sharing sites. I guess it happens to everybody and I can relate to that.
Stop feeling bad about it. I've had an account at dA for such a long time now and until now I haven't made much in the form of comments, which brings me to explain one theory I have about comments.
You comment and you will receive one comment in return. All those things with 100s of comments are there just because of the herd mentality. You see 4 comments on a post/picture/anything...the fifth one drops easily. So stop looking out for them.
The first picture looks sweet. really really cute. I love it.
and one more thing, I wish you'd disable the register to comment option. its so irritating (sorry...had to say that...)
