So my son Seth turned 2 last week. We had three days of party with family and friends. I’ve uploaded some pictures to my gallery. But I do have to mention that you need to login to see them. I don’t like the idea of everyone being able to see my son’s pictures. I will send out an invitation to some of my friends and family. You are free to sign up on the gallery. But I will only approve accounts of people I know.
On Friday it was Seth’s actual birthday. But most people have to work on Fridays so we decided to invite most people during the weekend. My mom and her friend visited on Friday. On Saturday, we had our (Sims) community friends over and on Sunday we had ChEeTaH’s family over. Other than my mom none of my family members visited.
I am very tired and depressed at the moment so I’ve gotten the advice from several people to take it slow and just take some days off. I’m still doing stuff, just slower.
Just a quick note to let you know that I’m very busy at the moment working on my fansites, one of them being SporeNetwork. I’ve participated in DeKDeS’s DNA Challenges. You can view my (older challenges) entries here!
Furthermore I bought MySims Agents for both Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Paul promised to write a DS review for MySimsNetwork, while I’m writing the Wii review. This will appear on MySimsNetwork very soon! Keep an eye on the websites
Oh and if you’re a Facebook user and you like my fansites SimsNetwork, MySimsNetwork and SporeNetwork, join SNW on Facebook! We keep you up to date about anything new on our sites.
So you may have noticed that the free themes I made for Wordpress and Drupal have been removed. I tried to do a good thing by spending my time on a charity project for the breastcancer awareness month. Unfortunately I used the Pink Ribbon name and that’s not allowed. At least not in my country. I’m from The Netherlands and was contacted by the Dutch Pink Ribbon organization about legal matters concerning the themes, especially the name and logo. It’s not so much that I don’t understand that the organization wants to protect their name. But I don’t really understand that the Dutch organization has issues with me trying to help out while the international organization doesn’t. And to be honest, I’ve seen many people use the name for themes also. And those are still available on the net. Mine aren’t because I’m Dutch. I always thought Pink Ribbon wasn’t just the name of the organizations. I thought it was just a general term. Apparently not.
I’ve been using Windows 7 for a while now and I have to say that this is a very nice version of Windows. I’d still rather have a Mac running OS X, but until that day I will mainly use Windows 7. This is because Linux can’t really run most of my software and games. And I don’t plan on using VirtualBox for half the programs I need on a daily basis. So anyway, where am I going with this post?
I used to buy my games in The Netherlands. And I would go to the store myself to buy them, as I didn’t want to have any shipping added to the price. But for the past few years I noticed out country is very expensive, and games are not an exception. As you may know, I’m a true Sims games collector. I have over 100 Sims games myself, so that’s without the games ChEeTaH has! If you play Sims games, and you have all expansion packs, then you know this will eat your paycheck (or allowance). So when I see a chance to save money on games, I definitely will!
Every year I try to change my portfolio to improve it, better looking and user friendly. I’ve already changed the design this year but I felt it was time again for some changes since I added quite a few things to my portfolio this year. Below is a overview of the first version until the version you can see now and all the changes I made.
I created a theme for charity but unfortunately due to legal reasons I had to remove it.
