Gradients and glitters

I'm still working on the new website. Most of the posts (including artworks, blog posts and 365 posts from 2009, 2010 and 2011) are missing. These posts will return eventually. Thanks for your patience! :)

Gradients and glitters

I always paint my own nails. I simply don't have the money to have them done professionally and I also like doing my own nails. I have quite the nail polish collection as well. A couple of months ago I bought my first set of Essence Twins, a set of two bottles of nail polish, one being the base color and the other the top glitter coat. They match well together. But this time, I tried something different. I have bought more of these Essence Twins sets last month and now I tried combining two colors, topped with a glitter coating. I started out with a pink base coat. Then I added a gradient with purple, at the ends of my nails. When all dried up, I added the glitter coat. It looks a lot better in real life than it does on the photos. But I'm proud nonetheless. The only downside to nail polish is that the nail polish comes off easily when I go swimming. And swimming is a necessary and appreciated weekly tradition these days.
