New compression garments

I went to the hospital today, to see my dermatologist. He confirmed what I already discovered myself reading articles, I still don't have lymphedema so I can't continue to go to the physical therapist for manual lymphatic drainage treatments. It's a good thing I still don't have lymphedema because that would make my condition even worse. I'd have lymph-lipedema or lip-lymphedema. I'm just glad this is not the case. But, well, you know, no more MLD treatments for me. The dermatologist confirmed it helps some lipedema patients. But because it has never been scientifically proven that it helps lipedema patients, it's not paid for by the health care insurance.

We also talked about my new compression garments. I recently got new compression sleeves and these are good. But the compression garments lady wasn't sure if I should get new compression stockings or a new compression pantyhose. I now have both. But the compression stockings are too big, so they don't support my legs anymore. And the compression pantyhose crawls down my legs in just a few steps. And it is very painful, annoying and kind of makes my legs worse that way, because the knee area gets tight and the fluids and such can't get away.

So now I'm getting new compression stockings, along with compression pants to put on top of the compression stockings. It won't be too tight around my knees, so I can use it outside the house, when walking and exercising, when going away to events and while traveling and so on. So I'm really happy!

I'm not sure when I'll get the new compression garments. Probably in a week or three. A new appointment at the compression garments company has been made. Next week. And it usually takes about two weeks for the garments to arrive.
