This was one of 40 pictures I selected for the HKU. Unfortunately it didn't help me get in. But I've heard from many people this is a nice concept and a lovey picture. So I thought, why not share it on DeviantArt, and my own blog of course.

It's a beautiful piece of work IMO, could easily be a great ad for pencils :)

Great, but is would be much better without the hard light and shades. =)

I understand what you mean with the shades. However the hard light was intended to be this way :happy: it's supposed to look a bit pop-art-ish, hence the strong lighting and colors.
