About me, where to start? I don't want to write too much. That would just bore my readers. But I don't want to just sum up some facts either. That's not exactly entertaining.

I'm Rosana Kooymans. I'm a 27 year old girl. I'm a geekette. I love geeky stuff, but I also love girly stuff. Best of both worlds! I'm Seth's mommy. ChEeTaH is my sweetheart. We live together in the Southern part of The Netherlands.

I love my family and friends. Unfortunately I live a bit too far away from most of them. So I don't get to see them often. I especially miss my mom. I also just met my father's side of the family. I haven't known them that long yet, but I would love to get to know them better. My dad passed away many years ago. I don't remember much of him. And now it's too late to get to know him. I discovered I have a half sister, her name is Dayla. I never really got in touch with her, because at the time her mother considered Dayla to be too young to know about my existence. A couple of years ago I became ill. Back then we didn't know what was wrong with me. Fortunately we know what it is now. Unfortunately though I will never get better. I have lipedema and I'm fighting against this horrible disease. I'm currently writing a couple of pages with information and my personal experience about my health.

I studied architecture in the past. I was a fine student but it just didn't suit me at the time. I dreamed about this for many years but it turned out to be the wrong choice for me. Then a couple of years later, I studied communication and multimedia design. Although I also didn't get much fulfillment from this course and college, I stopped because I became ill. I was supposed to undergo surgery when we found out we were expecting a baby! Now my son is a full grown toddler and I think I finally know what I want to study. I sent in my application form to the HKU. I would love to take a preparatory course for one year. If I pass this one year course, I probably know what suits me best. I'm thinking either Illustration or Fine Art. But I'm not sure yet. We'll just have to see. I might not even get accepted at all!

I'm a freelance web designer. I combine my work with my graphic skills and my photography hobby. It all just blends together very well. I don't make a lot of money though. I'm mainly taking care of my little boy. And when I do have the time, I often have to deal with clients who are unwilling to pay for my services. I often end up empty handed. That's why I've decided to take a little break from web design for now. People can still contact me about my services but I am likely to decline a project at this point. I would just like to concentrate on the things I still have to finish. And I'm trying to discover what it is I want to achieve in life.

You probably already discovered that I love art and design. My life is always filled with creativity. I love to draw, paint, design, both analog and digital. I also love games, especially Sims games. I run several Sims fansites, which you can see at the very bottom of this page. I met the love of my life through the Sims community! And many of my friends as well!

I don't watch too much television. But if I do, it's usually Doctor Who, Torchwood or Sherlock. I go swimming at least once a week. I love to swim! I also love Dance Dance Revolution.

At some point in our lives, we would love to move to the US. But we would also love to live in the UK for a couple of years. Only time will tell if this will really happen. The dream is there, we just need to work on turning it into reality.
