I'm still working on the new website. Most of the posts (including artworks, blog posts and 365 posts from 2009, 2010 and 2011) are missing. These posts will return eventually. Thanks for your patience! :)

  • So, what's happened?

I should write something in here. I should blog, since the last time was in April? The problem is, that I don't know where to start and I've got so many things to do. Half the time I don't feel like blogging because I'm either too busy or just too bored.

Until now, this isn't going anywhere, is it?

There have been so many things to write about. Let's just try to sum them all up. In May this year, I went to Los Angeles, to go to E3. This has been such an experience. I didn't get to write anything until now about E3. I am still planning to write an article on Spore for SporeNetwork though, with screenshots of course.

I have been given the chance to play Spore myself. In July this year, I was invited by Maxis in Redwood City (near San Francisco), to review Pets for PC, consoles and handhelds. This was so awesome! My reviews will be online soon on SimsNetwork.

And in August this year, I went to Leipzig in Germany, to play Spore (again) on the Games Convention and I also had my picture taken with Will Wright.

Let's see. That's three awesome trips in just four months. That's not healthy... :P Or maybe it is. And considering that E3 2006 was probably the last E3 like we know it, it was well worth going. I can imagine that some of my acquaintances and friends are jealous, I know I would be.

Our members on SimsNetwerk have been given the chance to meet Junior, our little mascot. He's so cute, it makes some people sick to their stomach.

I moved into dorms in July, simply because I needed a place to stay and since I'm enrolled as a student at CMD (communication & multimedia design).

I guess a lot has happened.

  • New Hairdo

Submitted by Rosana on Tue, 2006-04-11 10:16

I recently got a new hairdo, but I haven't made a photo of it just yet. And most of the people who visit my blog also know me well enough to know that I don't like to have my picture taken :P so be patient, I will upload some photos soon. Done!

    New Hairdo

I think I have an infected eye. It has been hurting for the past couple of days. :( I might visit my doctor this week. Again.

I'm currently changing the international SNW. Maybe you've seen the Dutch SNW already? Well, that's exactly how the international SNW will look, but it takes some effort to change everything into English and all. Oh well, it keeps me busy ;)

  • One thing after another...

Submitted by Rosana on Wed, 2006-04-05 10:39

Sometimes, everything in your life seems to be going wrong, you know, with dentist bills and stuff..

And then you think, oh well, it will all be better in a month (or so)?

    Well guess again!

My washing machine broke down. :(

Lately it seems like I'm not supposed to have any luck at all.

  • (Dental) Health Care in The Netherlands

Submitted by Rosana on Tue, 2006-04-04 19:10

I reeeaaaally like it here in The Netherlands (yes I'm being sarcastic). You visit your dentist, get canal treatments you did not ask for and they forget to tell you how much this will cost you. A few weeks later you receive the dentists bill.

    I have to pay a "humble" €503 :S

Have they completely lost their minds? How am I supposed to pay an amount like that?

Great health care we have here..

  • New phone *proud*

    MDA Vario

I recently bought a new mobile. Or actually, a PDA. I'm the proud owner of the MDA Vario (T-mobile). I've been wanting to buy a new phone for a while. A new phone with extras like a camera... It's quite useful. I can go online wherever I want, when I want. It's not really the best way of surfing certain websites, but it's possible and that's something...

My previous (smart)phone was a SPV E200. With the phone itself, I was quite happy. But the contract eventually started to bug me. I received "spam", which is the new trend these days, spam on your phone. My ass, I don't want spam on my phone I didn't ask for. And Orange told me they couldn't stop it. I had to contact the company or person that spammed me. I did some research and found who sent the spam. And there "supposedly" was a way to stop the spam. Of course I tried this, but I kept on receiving the same spam every day. Three text messages a day, whether you asked for it or not. Any idiot can sign you up on some website (or wherever they get the numbers from) and you'll have to pay for it, literally too. And it sucks.

Luckily I have a new phone with a brand new and fresh contract and I'm pretty proud :)

  • Snowy's ill

Submitted by Rosana on Wed, 2006-03-15 15:06

I've been feeling the urge to blog lately, but then again, I didn't want to. It started last week on Monday. Snowy got ill. Not just a little ill, but the same type of illness Gizmo and Kirby experienced. He refused to eat, wouldn't drink either. He visited the cat toilet a lot and just lay in a quiet corner somewhere hoping others would leave him alone. I really craved a visit to the vet, I did not feel the need to wait until the morning after, knowing he might die during the night. So I panicked and I called my mum hoping she'd be willing to drive 25 km to the vet.

The vet examined Snowy and discovered that he was suffering from struvite bladder stones. And it was a good thing of me to show up that night. If I had waited until the morning after, Snowy would not have made it during the night. Snowy needed to stay for a few days at the veterinary. The vet "emptied" Snowy's bladder and catheterized Snowy. On Thursday I was allowed to take Snowy home. It cost a lot, but it was worth the money in my personal opinion. I received a special veterinary diet and some medication. I also received a list of tips and things. On Thursday and Friday, things seemed to be going well. On Saturday it changed again. At night Snowy refused to eat all of his food (and I prepared his food with the medication in it, because that was the only way to make him take the medication). At first I thought this was caused by the fact that I gave him food in the afternoon, because I didn't want him to be hungry. But it wasn't like that. Because he became ill again on Sunday morning, just like he was on the previous Monday. I called my vet because I was afraid it was the struvite again. And I was right, again.

And here we are, Wednesday afternoon. I just received a phone call from the vet. Snowy cannot come home just yet. Yesterday, they removed the catheter and that went well. But today it became worse. The vets will take some x-ray pictures to see whether they can remove the struvite another way. I'll hear more about that tomorrow. But he probably won't be coming home tomorrow. I'll just sit here and wait nervously. I don't want to lose Snowy :(

  • Busy week

Submitted by Rosana on Mon, 2006-01-30 07:13

I won't be able to blog much next week because I'm trying to work as hard as possible on the *all new* SNW. So we can all enjoy the new site soon (hopefully in February). But I am addicted to blogging and creating stuff outside of the Sims world, so I might add pages with photos and some nonsense this week.. I'll have to see :)
