In early 2004, I started two Sims fansites: SimsNetwork and SimsNetwerk. Both sites together have grown quite big. I have had several Sims websites, but none of them grew big. We now have over 70k members, we have news, forums, downloads for The Sims and The Sims 2, we have Simpedia with articles, screens and every other media item you can think of, Teamspeak, and tons of other features. I have been running SNW since the beginning. Most of the things that happen on SNW, are done by me. It’s one hell of a job, but it’s worth it. Because I know there are people who consider it their virtual ‘home’ now.
Today SNW celebrates its fourth anniversary. I have nothing special planned for today. I have tons of work to do besides SNW. So I haven’t really gotten the time yet to think of anything. Perhaps we should celebrate the anniversary soon on Teamspeak.
Anyway, if you want to party along with us, come visit our forums at SimsNetwork!
Another set of retro scrapbooking textures. There are 12 high quality JPG images, all sized 256×256. You can use them for scrapbooking or other personal things, like a website. But give credit where credit is due please!
If you would like smaller textures, please let me know. I am willing to make changes, just ask. When you use them, please contact me! I would love to see what you make with my textures.
When we were in LA, ChEeTaH and I were discussing how I should make a custom star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I had been wanting to do this for a long time, but never really tried until today. I am proud to present to you, a vectorized custom Hollywood Walk of Fame star for Junior. I only used a photo I took as a reference. But every bit you see in the image below is vector drawn. How cool is that
I know I already posted these earlier this week. But Alex requested a widescreen version. Initially, I had only created 1600×1200, 1280×1024 and 1024×768 wallpapers. I have now added two widescreen resolutions (1440×900 and 1280×800):
I made three stamps for DeviantArt yesterday. The first is a Fireworks MX stamp. I am a loyal Fireworks user, for 7 years now. I have tried newer versions (I have an old version of MX), but I just don’t like the newer versions. I know the newer versions have options that the older MX version doesn’t have.
But I don’t care!
I don’t want to switch to a newer MX. And I certainly don’t want to switch to Fireworks CS3. That’s why I made that stamp. It’s very personal. But others are free to use it on DeviantArt if they want to.
The second stamp I made was a stamp for The Sims 3. Even though I am not too thrilled at this very moment when it comes to news and screens from The Sims 3, there’s a good chance that other people are fans already. So I made this stamp. For me personally, I won’t be using it on my DeviantArt. I am not done with The Sims 2 yet. And what I’ve seen so far, doesn’t get me too excited either.
The third stamp is basically a smaller version of my Los Angeles vector. When I start using stamps, I want to express my love for Los Angeles
Here are the stamps. You can click on them to view them on DeviantArt, but the below images have the actual sizes:
I don’t know how or why. But this evening, an idea came to my mind. An Idols logo for Junior. Junior considers himself to be a big star, a well known celebrity, you know, Junior matters! So this logo should suit his ‘Wall of Fame’ page well. This page is full of people who have had their picture taken with Junior.
I created a few scrapbook textures yesterday. You can also use them for other things, like a website. But the main purpose I made them is for people to print their own scrapbook paper. The textures are all in jpg format. There are 8 textures in bright, happy colors. And the sizes are 256×256. If you want me to make and release another set with 128×128 textures, let me know. I can do that as well in a few seconds.
Please do not use them for anything other than personal things, like scrapbooking. If you decide to use them on a website, please at least credit me for it.
I was bored today so I created another winter vector. This one’s called Winter Forest, because of all the white trees.
I’ve made wallpapers based on a vector I did this week. For now, you can download them on my dA (DeviantArt). I will upload them to my website later.
There are three resolutions:
• 1600×1200
• 1280×1024
• 1024×768
I made these vectors back in 2005. I don’t think I will be using them (again) on Miss Design, but I consider them good enough to be placed on my portfolio. So here they are:
