Desktop Wallpapers
I have made many wallpapers in the past. I will upload my most interesting and most recent work here. If you are interested in game wallpapers, check out SimsNetwork, MySimsNetwork and SporeNetwork!
I collect plush giraffes and leopards. This time I made a digital version of one of my giraffe plushies.

The original artwork I made was for my boyfriend and it had the text “I love you” on it. However I thought it was too cute to leave it on my hard drive. So I decided to make some cute wallpapers!

This giraffe was hand drawn by me, but the inspiration came from a (I believe Hallmark) Valentines Day card I got from ChEeTaH. I was practicing on my new Wacom Intuos3 tablet and this came out. It’s just too cute not to share.

This was one of my entries in a design contest in February 2009. Too bad I didn’t win. Compared to the final entries this was pretty good. Positive side of this story is that I can now share it with all of you. If I would have won the contest, this artwork would not have been on my portfolio. And now it is
The inspiration for this was my Los Angeles vector. I didn’t want to send in my LA vector because I didn’t want to lose the rights on that artwork, as it had a certain meaning and emotional value for me. I also didn’t think everyone would be able to “connect” with Los Angeles. So I changed it to a tropical theme without the LA name. Other colors, other style, re-made the character and palm trees.
These wallpapers are in PNG format. You may request JPG formats if you need them. However I exported them to JPG first and it didn’t look good because of the strong gradient. PNG is much better. But Windows has the issue where you can’t use PNG wallpapers. Just let me know if you need JPG formats.

The other entry I made for a design contest in February 2009. I didn’t win. People loved my entries, the jury however didn’t (or not enough, I don’t know). I personally think this is quite overwhelming to have on a desktop, that’s because I initially didn’t design this as a desktop wallpaper. But perhaps there are people out there who like their desktop colorful and crowded.
