I'm still working on the new website. Most of the posts (including artworks, blog posts and 365 posts from 2009, 2010 and 2011) are missing. These posts will return eventually. Thanks for your patience!
The Sims 3
It's very late here, and I'm preparing myself to get some sleep. Tomorrow morning I'll have to get up early to bake some lovely foods for Christmas dinner and we'll be picked up around noon by my in-laws, who will drive us to their home. I don't think I'll be online much tomorrow (well today, but you know what I mean). So I thought I'd post something now.
I uploaded a Christmas Trees set including a new pattern on The Sims Zone on Wednesday. And on Thursday I uploaded Christmas Baubles sets including several new patterns on SimsNetwork. Get em now while they're fresh and Christmas is still around!
My message from today is: Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely day with your family and/or friends!
I may be a bit late, but I decided to make some Christmas things for The Sims 3. The last time I created something for The Sims 3, something completely new was... well many months ago. I promised Andy and ChEeTaH from The Sims Zone I would make something for their site. And of course I'm also creating items for SimsNetwork. Here's a preview!
I was recently asked by community friends from Sims 3 Nieuws to design a new website (and forum) to suit their needs. I've spent quite some time on it, to make it perfect for them. They launched the site and forums today! You can view these 2 projects on my 2009 portfolio page. I also added previews of their Twitter and YouTube pages, which I also styled to match the website.
It was a lot of fun working on this project. I'm grateful I got the chance to do so and I'm very happy that the team members of Sims 3 Nieuws are pleased with the result!
I haven't blogged in April. I did want to but ended up being too busy so I postponed it every day. To prevent myself from having the same problem in May, I decided to blog today.
I am currently working on a huge project, but I can't tell anything else just yet. It's going to be massive and awesome. I think this will be the best project on my portfolio so far. You will see and hear more about this during the summer.
In the meantime, I'm also still working from time to time on SNW, with news and forums etc. On May 15 I will attend an event for The Sims 3 in The Netherlands. I have attended a Sims 3 event before but this time we'll have hands-on time as well and a visit from MJ Chun. If you have questions about The Sims 3, please be sure to send them to me before May 14.
I still post a daily pic on my 365 blog. Be sure to check it out sometime. People are often surprised with the things they discover there. I post several pictures, one on the front page and when you click it, you often can see more (related) pics and a description. Fun to see and read.
I recently designed a pair of classic K-Swiss shoes. I really hope I make it to the final three, this would mean I get these shoes! But I somehow doubt I will win. Too many people entered the contest already. Over 5500 the last time I checked and that's only for our country. I'm still going to buy new K-Swiss shoes but so far I had no luck finding female K-Swiss shoes. New collection will arrive shortly at a local shoe store.
Oh and there's other good news as well. ChEeTaH is currently saving for a new laptop since the old one is pretty crappy. After we are done saving, we will start saving for my new DSLR. It will take a few years probably before I have it but at least we're starting to save for it now instead of next year.
I made three stamps for DeviantArt yesterday. The first is a Fireworks MX stamp. I am a loyal Fireworks user, for 7 years now. I have tried newer versions (I have an old version of MX), but I just don't like the newer versions. I know the newer versions have options that the older MX version doesn't have.
But I don't care!
I don't want to switch to a newer MX. And I certainly don't want to switch to Fireworks CS3. That's why I made that stamp. It's very personal. But others are free to use it on DeviantArt if they want to.
The second stamp I made was a stamp for The Sims 3. Even though I am not too thrilled at this very moment when it comes to news and screens from The Sims 3, there's a good chance that other people are fans already. So I made this stamp. For me personally, I won't be using it on my DeviantArt. I am not done with The Sims 2 yet. And what I've seen so far, doesn't get me too excited either.
The third stamp is basically a smaller version of my Los Angeles vector. When I start using stamps, I want to express my love for Los Angeles
Here are the stamps. You can click on them to view them on DeviantArt, but the below images have the actual sizes:
